Connecting your Facebook Groups to Simplified's Social Media Calendar is easy!
Adding a new Facebook Group account
1 - Go to the Social Media section by clicking Social Media on the top menu bar
2 - Click on the calendar icon on the left side menu to go to Publishing
3 - Click the 3 stacked dots at the end of the account list, then click Add Account.
or
Click the 3 stacked dots at the end of the account list, click Open Full List, then click the + Add Account.
4 - Select the Facebook Group from the Group's list and click Continue.
🚨 note: If your Group isn't appearing on this list, it means you didn't give Simplified permission to connect to it when you first connected to Facebook. In this case, you have to reconnect to Facebook and, when the Facebook pop-up window appears, it will show you a list of all the Pages, Groups and Instagram accounts your profile is an admin of. Select all that you wish to connect to Simplified (even if you wish to connect them to different Teamspaces). That will tell Facebook you are giving Simplified permission to connect, access and publish on those accounts when you are ready to connect them to Simplified. Don't worry, they will only be connected to Simplified's Social Media Calendar when you select them in the next steps.
And that's it! You can now start publishing on your Facebook Group!
Connecting your first account
If this is your first account connection, follow these steps.
1 - Go to the Social Media section by clicking Social Media on the top menu bar
2 - Click on the calendar icon on the left side menu to go to Publishing
3 - Click on the Let's Get Started button
4 - On the account list, select Facebook by clicking on it.
4 - Click on Group
5 - Enter your Facebook account log in info, if you're not already logged in to Facebook.
6 - Click Continue.
🚨 note: When the Facebook pop-up window appears, it will show you a list of all the Pages, Groups and Instagram accounts your profile is an admin of. Select all that you wish to connect to Simplified (even if you wish to connect them to different Teamspaces. That will tell Facebook you are giving Simplified permission to connect, access and publish on those accounts when you are ready to connect them to Simplified. Don't worry, they will only be connected to Simplified's Social Media Calendar when you select them in the next steps.
⚠️ note: do not change any of the permissions under the "Choose what you allow" option. Doing so will result in an impossibility to authenticate with Facebook and it will not be possible to connect your Instagram channel. This option is shown as per Facebook's guidelines, and should not be modified when authenticating
⚠️ note: If you already have another Facebook or Instagram account connected to Simplified, you won't see these steps, since you already authenticated the connection.
7 - Select the Group you want to connect and click Continue.
And that's it! You can now start publishing on your Facebook Group!
