Some users might experience a "User Access Restricted" error when posting to Instagram.
This issue usually arises from the account information that Meta uses to keep your account safe and verified. According to Meta, this error pops up when an Instagram Professional account has been inactive, check-pointed, or restricted.
Meta suggests that you sign into the Instagram app and follow any instructions given to reactivate your account.
If you've come across the "User Access Restricted" error while posting to Instagram, here's a simple guide to help you out:
1 - Sign into the affected account via Instagram's website.
Important: you can't fix this error by logging into the mobile app on your phone or any other device!
2 - Once you're logged in, Instagram will show you a screen asking for some missing information.
3 - Fill in the requested information field when asked.
Important: if Instagram asks for a birth date, make sure to enter a date that shows you're over 13 years old. We suggest setting this date as 21 or above.
After following these steps, you should be able to post on Instagram through Simplified as usual.
If you've done all the above and the issue persists, it might be due to some settings in the Meta Business Suite. Here's what you can do:
1 - Visit business.facebook.com and switch to the page that's connected to the affected Instagram account. Click on the "Settings" icon at the bottom left of the page.
2 - Click on the user you're logged in as (it'll show as (You) for that user), and click "Manage" next to the IG account.
3 - If Meta asks you to "Log In" on the page below where the arrow is, you'll need to complete the login request to resolve the issue. If there's no login request, you're all set!
We hope this helps! Happy posting!
