Splitting videos using Simplified is a straightforward process, but it's important to remember that the Split feature is currently only compatible with videos that do not contain subtitles. If you attempt to split a video with subtitles, the process will not be successful, and it will only result in the splitting of other layers within the video.
In the event that your video does have subtitles and you require the ability to split specific sections, we recommend utilizing the trim function instead. This will allow you to achieve the desired result effectively.
To Split a video follow the instructions below:
1- Log into your Simplified account with your email or Google/Facebook login.
2- Go to the video section.
3- Open a new or recent project.
4- Once the project is open, click on the Timeline view button located in the bottom right corner of the options bar.
5- Click on the horizontal lines icon to view the timeline.
6- Place your video layer on the timeline, then slide the white time bar to the right or left.
7- Once you have positioned the white bar at the section you want to split, select your video layer again and click on the split icon located in the bottom bar of your screen.
8- You can repeat this procedure as many times as you want to split sections.
Remember that if you wish to remove a section that you've split, simply select it and press the delete key on your device.
9- Once you're satisfied with the result, you can export it or directly share it on social media.
